The main reason for this is stress and sadness (Sánchez & et.al., 2018). this report will describe the concept of behavior with abnormality. Also, it will discuss problems that occur in diagnosing mental disorders. Moreover, some case studies and the mental illness of a person will be described.

1.2 Discuss The Problems of Diagnosing Mental Disorders

In order to diagnose mental disorders, there are several problems that occur (Schrank & et.al., 2014). This affects the quality of care and the entire process. They are as follows:

  • The first one is community behavior that a person possesses during a disorder. It is very difficult to analyze the needs and behavior of a person in that situation. A psychiatrist may use the ADHD concept while others use the oppositional defiant disorder (ODD) technique. Thus, this leads to an impact on the mental condition of the person.
  • The second problem is the development or growth of a person. Each one has its own growth process. Psychiatrists may use therapy to diagnose mental disorders. These therapies are based on the social, family, or behavior of a person.
  • The third one is DSM disorders are based on subjective opinions rather than objective ones. So, doctors decide which disorder has to be included in abnormality.

A feeling or belief may be developed among a person that he or she is doing something wrong (Nesse, 2015). This changes behavior which impacts on diagnosis process.

Therefore, these all are the problems that occur in the diagnosis of mental disorders. It restricts doctors as well as people from providing proper care to patients. Furthermore, this creates barriers as well.

He may not be able to eat and sleep well. It will affect his mental and physical health. The person may start believing in the imagery world. He might not get involved with friends.

2) in order to overcome schizophrenia Dave might face many problems. First is Dave can cause harm or threat to the person who ever is diagnosed. he can behave in a very rude way (Nolen-Hoeksema & Rector, 2015). The time required for this can be 6 months.

Case Study 2

2) the person giving diagnosis may face the problem of the rude behavior of Mary. He can find it difficult to understand needs and how to deal with them. the doctor has to monitor changes in behavior this can be difficult. The time required for diagnosis can be around 4 months.

Case Study 3

1) here, Raphael has developed a phobia of needles and blood. Due to this, he can suffer from a mental disorder. Also, he may not be able to work in a hospital. The phobia may change his behavior. The mental condition of Raphael may become worse.

2) the person giving treatment may find it difficult to understand Raphael's behavior. This will restrict a person from using sharp objects or any red liquid (Naslund & et.al., 2017). The time length is not estimated in this. Phobia can remain for a lifetime.
